GATTON PARK

Gatton Park is a 250-acre estate near Reigate, Surrey. The park was landscaped by “Capability” Brown in the 1760s and comprises woodlands, grasslands, ponds and a large lake. The beautiful formal gardens were added by Sir Jeremiah Colman of mustard fame during the time he lived here and include the lovely Japanese garden recently restores to its former glory. The diversity of habitats, historic buildings, landscape and gardens provide very pleasant surroundings for a range of learning opportunities. Public access to the Park is mainly by visiting groups.
